Kolkata Knight Riders vs Lucknow Super Giants IPL match date change was announced after Kolkata Police requested Cricket Association of Bengal. This request from Kolkata Police was made after the release of IPL 2025 schedule, as the date of this match is clashing with Hindu festival “Ram Navami” on 6th April 2025, Sunday, and police deployment is needed across the city for security purposes. That’s why Kolkata Police has requested for change of date of the match. And BCCI accepted the request and rescheduled this match of KKR vs LSG match.

Earlier this 19th match of IPL was to be held on Sunday, 6th April, 2025. BCCI rescheduled this match on Tuesday, 8th April, 2025. Due to which this will be the 21st match of IPL. There has been no change in the start time and stadium of this match.
